Here Me Out Before You Cancel My Ass Out
Black Mens’ lives matter most and I’m brave enough to say it twice.
Better yet, if Indigenous Women's and Black Women's lives mattered, we'd all be living in heaven.
Even better, if Single Indigenous Mothers' lives mattered AND Single Black Mothers' lives mattered - and their children - goddamn, I don't think there would be a single thing to fight about.
But if we keep getting caught in the details and differences that barely differentiate our difficulties and fixate on that, sure, of course who someone else fucks, marries, or kills means a lot, but not for the right reasons.
We should be happy at people finding love, regardless of whether we can understand it.
We should be respectful of those who demand to commit to another human being through financial and paperwork commitment. Let any person marry and suffer the trials of marriage in their 40s, and make divorce illegal after the 7-year itch - they will be begging for freedom, but I digress.
And we should all be alarmed at any death of any race at any time. If we need to know the time, location, race, and reason for the death, we've ultimately dismembered society.
So try and trip me up on a technicality, but my point is sound. If Black Men’s Lives mattered….we’d all be better off.
