I had an odd inner circle for a while.

I didn’t realize it at the time, but something always felt… off, misaligned with my concept of love, family, or community.

For years, I thought I was the problem. And those around me? They nodded in agreement.

So I worked on myself — hard.

For two decades, I tore apart and shook loose everything that didn’t serve me. I aimed straight for success. And you know what? I flourished. I felt it in every part of me.

Then, my inner circle started spiraling.

Here I was, thriving — yet all I got from people I’d loved and respected for decades was silence or, worse, savage sneers.

It sucks to realize you’ve outgrown your group. It really does. But once you know, you gotta go.

Staying? That’s a risk only you can decide to take — but trust me, they will suffocate you if you do.
