Sorry for the late reply, but thank you for your honestly. Sacrifice is the word that came out the strongest in your response. Women sacrifice so much of themselves to their parents, husbands, children and societal expectation that sometimes we lose ourselves completely in the act of service (or sacrifice).

I hope you continue to seek and search for what calls out to you. Forget your family who is not lifting you up but laughing at your goals of carving out meaning for you and you alone. They laugh because they do not want you to actually find a life for yourself because they will lose the service you provide them.

Let them laugh; you find what makes your heart full.
