Really great article. I find that I am reading more and more about the harmful impacts of alcohol and the difficulties individuals have in abstaining.
I have been not drinking, for quite some time, and everything else in my life has improved, except for some sacrifices in my social life. You have to socialize differently, when you are not drinking.
All of a sudden, the idea of spending all evening in a bar, with sticky tabletops and sub-par food is just not so much fun for me anymore. Spending eight hours, out on the town on a Friday night now feels like jeopardizing your potential for the following day.
Yes, there is a fun in drinking, we all know that, but is the pain worth it? Are the hangovers truly worth it or is it a concept we have accepted as normal?
