A celebrity with oodles of money, resources and supports telling us to get our ass up and work is outright rude, but we have a lot we can learn from one another about how we have achieved success, without a chef, nanny or family money.

What is my advice as a first-generation Canadian-born university graduate about how to get your ass up and work?

You need to leverage what you can, ask for help, establish strong connections with others who can build you up and take calculated risks when you can.

You need to leverage the time and resources you have.

What does this mean?

Be efficient.

Use your time at work efficiently, use your time off efficiently and do not blend the two. I cannot stress the importance of having efficient, meaningful time off to be successful during your time on enough.
