How I Fit a 40 Hour Day into 24 Hours

Finding your Hour of Power

No one seems to have enough hours in the day. We all get twenty-four hours a day but how we utilize those minutes each day is amazingly different.

Twenty-four hours can easily come and go with little to show for it if we let it. Slowly one off day becomes a week, then a month and then a lifestyle of complacency. Nobody wants to live a life like that; a mediocre life is tolerable at best is at worst it is extremely depressing and unfilling.

You need to have one hour a day dedicated to deep focus work.

The first thing you need to do to accomplish more with your life is to dedicate one hour of each day towards your biggest goal.

Once you have determined what your goal is you need to determine your ideal time for focus work. My hour of deep focus work or ‘hour of power’ is 5 a.m. to 6 a.m.; think about when you are most productive and most keen on working, whatever that time is, is your hour of power.

The intention for this hour is deep work.
