Four Things That Will Never be a Waste of Time

In a world where we are trying to cram productivity into every waking moment of the day, it can be hard to think of the luxury of certain things as significant. As I am starting to focus more on daily moments and interactions of my life rather than some future end goal where there will be an oasis of peace, bliss, calm and time, I am finding I have much more time in my busy, consumer-filled, competitive world than I believed before.

Life is genuinely built up to becoming almost always manageable, beautiful and enjoyable when you start pulling out meaningful time each day for meaningful things.

Going for a walk.

I remember the day before my child was born, I must have gone on three or four walks with my puppy. Not one single minute of those walks was wasted.

As I write this, I cannot think of a single time I went for a walk whether the house was a mess, a looming work deadline was pending, or some other urgent matter was waiting for me when I got home that did not simply feel easier to deal with because I had gone for that walk.

Go for a walk and go for as many walks as you can, and your life will feel easier, and you will be ready to tackle that problem which might seem more rational now.

Meditating.
