Focusing on the system versus the goal is something I strive to do everyday. Having a system of how much you exercise, write, organize your life and make time to self reflect is vital for long term goals.

I think people look at other’s success as an overnight event, but they seem to ignore all the commitment and sacrifice that person has put in over the years. Over the years is exactly what it takes for long term success. You cannot grind it out for twelve hours a day, every once in awhile and expect to make it ‘big.’

I haven’t been writing on Medium for six months yet, I am on month two, but I do appreciate, in other areas I have succeeded that consistency is the key. You have to make time each and every day for your big dreams to come true.

I always tell people to invest in their dreams too. Maybe you are not productive at home, well then go to a coffee shop and rent space for awhile. I get a lot of work done at coffee shops and if I am purchasing a coffee, I have already decided that I am renting my chair for at least sixty minutes.

I bought a lighter laptop, so I can carry it with me throughout the day, so that when I do have thirty minutes between life events, I am not wasting them, but rather reading, writing, making notes or planning.

You have to hustle to make it in life, but true hustling is not as glamorous as the movies make it out to be. Hustling is usually solitary, lonely and requires a lot of personal dedication to an idea which you truly believe in.

I write about issues that are near and dear to my heart, with the hope that my stories, experiences, and struggles may empower others:
